Joseph Clarke School – Performance Report

The students at Joseph Clarke School are a wide cohort of individuals with significantly different strengths and areas of need.  When thinking about measures of the school’s performance we look at not only the achievement of students in accredited subjects but also at their progress in the development of their communication and social skills. For our students with significant vision impairment, we also review their achievements within the Curriculum Framework for Vision Impairment (CFVI) which may include their knowledge of the Braille code, their ability to find their way around the school building using their long cane or the development of their independence skills when using magnifying or screen reader software or other assistive technology such as refreshable braille displays and electronic Braille notetakers.
